IgniteIT – Ames

Hey everyone. If you you’re in the Ames Iowa area tomorrow night and consider yourself a geek, come join us for the IgniteIT event. This is going to be my first year attending and I have even thrown my name out there to give a talk on Inbox Zero Here is a description of what IgniteIT is all about: IgniteIT is the networking opportunity for Iowa’s information technology community. Transplant for Trae

If you are in the Des Moines area, there is a great cause that you can help out with. Today is the Transplant for Trae hockey game at Wells Fargo arena. Trae Hamilton is a 17 month old boy with a rare kidney disorder. A disorder if left untreated will most likely cause cancer to develop before he reaches kindergarten. Happy St Patrick’s Day!

Unfortunately for us this year, St. Patty’s day falls on a work day which brings to mind this fine Irish quote: “Work is a curse of the drinking class” -Oscar Wilde Hopefully the office will have a nice celebration so we can raise a pint or two. If not, I’m scheduling an afternoon meeting at the pub.

First!

There are very few times that a company gets to claim that they are first to do something. But today, my project is launching and LightEdge Solutions gets to claim that we are the first service provider to provide this integration. Today we are announcing that we are rolling out our Hosted Office Communication Server 2007 service. The real kicker for this is that we have been able to successfully tie together the hosted OCS system with our hosted Broadsoft phone system.
