The day is finally here…DTV is now the standard! There was so much build up and ads for the first attempted conversion that the actual conversion seems like a non event. If CNN hadn’t put up the following article, I honestly would have forgotten that it was happening. In less than 24 hours all full-power broadcast TV stations in the U.S. will flip a switch to stop broadcasting their analog TV signals and will only broadcast TV signals in digital.

Brain-Twitter project offers hope to paralyzed patients

Many of us are on twitter (@usrlocal), and for the most part, there isn’t a whole lot productive that happens there. Sure, some people are using it for marketing, some are using it to keep up with friends, some are just being stupid. Yes folks, there are some people that literally tell us that they are drinking coffee and reading the paper. Guess what, I don’t freaking care!!! But this is freaking AWESOME!

Twitter Issues

Has anyone else been having a bunch of issues with Twitter as of late? It seems like the service is even more unstable than is has been in the past few months. My biggest complaint right now, besides it being down a lot, is the profile settings. Yes, I’m _finally_ getting around to setting a profile picture for my @usrlocal account. Here is what I get when I attempt to upload my image:

Happy Birthday to the RFCs. The RFCs (Request For Comment) are the a documents published by the IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) describing the behaviors to the various internet protocols. Basically, these documents make up how the internet should work. Should being a very important word here. Many programmers are either too lazy to properly implement them or there are some companies that like to embrace, extend and often break the RFCs.
