Good Bye 2008

At lunch the other day, a friend asked everyone at the table what was our favorite part of 2008. I think that I may have offended her a bit when I said that my favorite thing was that it was over. I wasn’t kidding either. Work has been challenging but stressful. The company was bought, we battled floods, my team helped launch several major products, moved offices, and have continued to add on additional projects that have not been made public knowledge, but have taken up a bunch of time.

Site Move

I’ve decided to finally cut the cord and combine my personal blog back into the main usrlocal.com blog. usrlocal.com lost its focus for a while and I wanted to get back to talking about technology, tips and tricks and doing some software reviews. It had unfortunately become a story reposting site with a few comments from me on rare occasions. You can get that information else where. So here it is, in all its glory.

Back in the USA!

Well, its been a few weeks since I posted and that’s for a pretty good reason. I have been taking some R&R in the great country of Germany. My wife and I escourted over her grandparents where we eventually met up with her parents. The total vacation was 12 days, but it seemed like 12 hours. It went by way too damn fast. I’ll have pictures posted to the flickr account here in the next few days and will begin my semi-regular posting again here shortly.

Starting off

Well, its time for me to take the dive and actually do something useful with http://matt.usrlocal.com. Sure, I’ll still keep updating usrlocal.com, but this will be a place for more personal stuff as well as various crazy rants that have nothing to do with technology. I hope you enjoy it.
