New content coming

Sure sure, we all say it, and some even believe it. I’m going to write more…promise!!! I’ve been pretty swamped at work and side things that I have been neglecting the old blog here for a bit. But I should be posting some new content here over the next few weeks of some stuff that I have been working on and a certification that I’m picking up. Good stuff to come…check back soon.

New Theme

I’m messing around with a new theme for the site. Its HTML5/CSS3 on the back end which is appealing, just not sure I’m 100% convinced on it yet. Might have to experiment around with some other HTML5/CSS3 themes to find one I like. Or…just write me own. Anyone have a theme that they like? Nolan James Patterson

Its hard to really put into words how proud of my wife I am. She has given me a gift that I can never thank her enough for, a handsome baby boy. Nolan James Patterson was born on September 18th at 9:47PM. Weighing in a 7lbs and 1oz and a whopping 20 inches long. Ok, maybe not that whopping, but still a decent height to him. So, as a good father, I promise to raise my son to learn all the important things.

Server Issues

Some of your may have noticed that this site was down for about a day. Oh who am I trying to kid. 3 people noticed if that and most of you are probably reading this going, “oh, you had issues. I guess so, you’re writing about them.” Since we’re all here on the same page, let’s continue shall with with the postmortem. What Happened? On Sunday morning, a little after 9:30 AM I noticed that I was no longer getting email from my server.

Introducing iApp100.com

Today, I’m finally able to let the cat out of the bag about a side project that I have been working on. My fellow brother in song, Brent Bierstedt and I have been working over the past several months on a better way of accessing, ranking and organizing iPhone apps. We love the iPhone and think that the store is pretty killer. But there are a few things lacking that with a little bit of technology, we can bring out the best of the store and make it easy to find, search, share and rank applications that you find.
