Today, I’m finally able to let the cat out of the bag about a side project that I have been working on. My fellow brother in song, Brent Bierstedt and I have been working over the past several months on a better way of accessing, ranking and organizing iPhone apps. We love the iPhone and think that the store is pretty killer. But there are a few things lacking that with a little bit of technology, we can bring out the best of the store and make it easy to find, search, share and rank applications that you find. So today, we are officially launching iapp100.com

We have some pretty big plans for the site and this is only the beginning. Revision one of the site allows you access to a lot of information that we have been collecting over the past several months. You can create an account, create a wish list to purchase apps later and rank and leave comments on apps that you have given a test run. Because let’s face it, they’re not all winners.

There is much more that we’re going to do with the site so we hope that you use it, tell us what you think, and spread the word to others!

Its Monday, you’re having trouble concentrating and that’s OK. I’m here to help.

Here is a story that I found last week that I decided to save for the blogosphere just for this week. It goes back to the good old days of the SR-71 BlackBird. You know, our kick ass spy plane that started seeing action 40 years ago. This is a story of a training flight. There are many other amazing stories about this plane, but every once in a while you like to know that for all the training, training and more training that our men and women in the armed forces do, they still like to have a little bit of fun.

Your iPhone Icon is Wrong.

Found this site while checking out Chris Glass’s site during the Friday LayerTennis. Too funny, too true.

Why?

You are not an unique snowflake so don’t try to make your icon stand out by “de-buttoning” them on the home screen.

No matter how beautiful you are, you are not better than everyone else by removing the border or gloss. You are not special. You are not being clever. You are hindering the overall interface consistency.

Its definitely worth checking out.

I’ve finally given into the dark side. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it, but I figured it would give me a chance to reconnect with old friends.

So after much reluctance, I have decided to take the Facebook leap. I’m already a LinkedIn member, but I figured that Facebook was a different audience and in these times, you can never have too many friends that may open a door for you if one should happen to close. I’m not worried about it, but better to be prepared just in case.

I’m going to avoid the damn apps like the plague so don’t ask me to join your mob, group, warlock society or whatever dork app you have found recently.

But feel free to friend me up.
