Go Pack GO!

The game was a lot closer than it needed to be and the penalties were horrible in this game. But a win is a win and Rodgers and the rest of the Packers will take it! One down, a whole bunch more to go.

Still a fan

So, I’m not going to argue with the fact that there is a good chance that Brett Favre probably pushed things too far. I’m not going to argue that the Packers probably could have handled the situation better. Its safe to say, there is a good chance that both are to blame at some level, though you might not get that opinion in Green Bay right now. But I’m still a fan.

Tornado directly affects Packers’ Kampman, other NFL players

A tornado struck northeast Iowa a week ago, and seven people were killed. About 220 homes were destroyed, and much of the downtown of Parkersburg, Iowa, (pop.: 1,800) was leveled. We see these stories in the news an awful lot this time of year, and we feel sad for those who have been affected, but for the most part we move on. This one piqued my interest because four NFL players — Green Bay defensive end Aaron Kampman, Detroit defensive end Jared DeVries, Jacksonville center Brad Meester and Denver offensive lineman Casey Wiegmann — come from there, and I read where Kampman had sent out an urgent appeal for help.
